62nd Anniversary Card

This is a similar card that I made for my DH's grandparent's 62nd Anniversary which is tomorrow. It's also his grandpa's 85th birthday. What a happy day to have gotten married on your birthday! We'll be visiting them on the weekend since they are going out to eat tomorrow. They still have and take care of their own house. They still drive their minivan. DH's grandma is 84 years old. They are a couple that is set in their ways, no internet, surprise that they have the basic cable channels. They are very nice people and their neighbors watch over them really good. As for the card, it is the stamp hitchedafellabella and Stampin Up's Priceless. I used black embossing powder, SU watercolor pencils, and diamond stickles. The hitchedabellafella is a pif from laurlynn on SCS. It's fun to do pifs because you can play along and receive other stamp images so you don't have to go out and buy everything that you think you like and only use it one time. That's all for now...

No cards today

No cards today. Been on a scavenger hunt over at Artistic Paperie Blog most of the morning. My daughter is sick with a stomach flu thingy. Been waiting for my Rubbernecker stamps to come in the mail. I won a $10.00 rubbernecker bucks from inkypaws.blogspot.com , Jeanne S. about a month ago, and I finally ordered some. I ordered it Tuesay night and it was sent out on Wednesday. I'm not sure where there are located. I've just heard that they are super people to deal with. Today is Monday, I just checked the mailbox and the mailman hasn't come yet. He's like three hours late, must be the substitute again. Well I'm hoping to get them real soon. I have to go over to town for my sons school conference soon. Till next time...

Easter card for the church shut ins

We made this card at church for our church shut ins at Nursing Homes, etc. I designed it and had Alissa, Judy, Karen, Rhonda, and Linda participating. It's a set that is retired by Stampin Up called Spring Gifts. We used a blender pen to pick up the colors out of the pastels and blended. Also used stickles on the flowers. We used versamark on the bunch of little chicks in the corner. The pink and blue paper and the ribbon are some that I picked up at Walmart. The Easter Greetings is not Stampin Up.

Two birthdays in one day

This is one of the cards I made for my nephews birthdays. This one was for Tyler and I made one the same but with red cardstock for Brian. The stamps are from Stampin Up, a set called Penquins Pleasantries. I put some stickles on the candle and hat. You can't see it on here but it looks pretty cool in person. When I look at other peoples cards, I can now really appreciate them more because they look even better in person. The birthdays weren't really the same day but were celebrated on the same day. Everyone made it that was invited. I didn't think I would make it because I had just found out that I had pink eye. Of course I think it came from my brothers family and then went to my sister, then to me. I think it should be called red eye, one of my eyes was really red. I have never had pink eye. It wasn't no picnic.
