Last night I stayed up way to long making a card for the Hanna Stamps Challenge. The big party is Thursday night. The challenge was to make a card with a Hanna Stamp and to use three Prism colors or colors close to match. This is what I came up with. I also made another one today since I was having so much funny with the colors. I used SU purely Pomegranate, Pretty in Pink, and an unknown turquise cardstock. I stamped my image with Versafine Onyx Black and I colored in my image with Zig watercolor markers. Ribbon is SU Pretty in Pink and I Cuttlebugged with the Happy Birthday folder. I went outside today and took the pictures of my cards in the natural light. What do you think? Tomorrow I'll post my other Riley card. Till then... I think I want to make another....

Nestibilities!!!
Ok I took the dive into the market for the Spellbinders Nestabilities. I ordered my first set of them at ucutahome.com last night. I ordered the Rectangle set, it's my Mothers Day present. Lots of places have been sold out on them. Ucutathome.com had the best price that I was able to find, of course that is after you use the 40% off monthly coupon. After you subscribe, you will get a monthly code for the 40% off. You can take advantage of each months code, one per household each month. So that way you can go there once a month to add to your collection of Nestabilities and in four months time you'll have them all. If I like them I may buy more sets, I'm thinking maybe the oval set next. When I get them, I'll do a review here and tell you what I think of them. I'll be using my new Cuttlebug for the process. If you order any, make sure you order the tan mats. You will need them for the embossing part. No new cards today, too much jabbing on the phone. See you tomorrow...

Snow???
Yes it snowed last night. We got up this morning and it was a winter wonderland outside. The trees were really pretty. By the afternoon most of the snow was gone but the chill was still in the air. It made it to 39 degrees above zero. A little to cold for me. Just last week it was like 75 and the kids were running around outside. Looks to be a nasty cold week. Tomorrow I'm going to try to make a challenge card for Hanna Stamps. Maybe I'll get it uploaded too. See you tomorrow...

No cards to show today.
Hello again. Nothing new to show you today. It's the weekend so that means it's time to shop. My DH has to work every other weekend and this so happened to be the off weekend. My daughter and I went stamp shopping at three stores. We both got a bunch of stuff. My daughter is only seven and she was pretty excited about the stuff she picked out. She got a couple of Penny Black stamps and an Elzybell Fairy Girl stamp. I got some Penny Black, Whipper Snapper, and some other company stamps. I also picked up three new Cuttlebug folders. I haven't tried them out yet since it's the weekend with Church and all. My DH plays the Organ at our church. He has been playing there for the last two years. But now that he has the day job, he can only play every other Sunday. The pastor has two step-daughters that fill in for him when he isn't there. He also teaches the Youth Bible Class. My Dh always has Mondays off so it won't be a very productive day. Mostly we go to the Library on Mondays. Well that's all I have to share with you today, I hope you can come back here tomorrow...

Another card for a challenge...
Here is another card I made today for a challenge at the Gina K Designs forum at SCS. Probably a 1 in 50 chance to win a stamp set. I think this is my favorite card so far. Recipe: Stamps from Penny Black-Cheesecake Wish and Critter Party. Cardstock: brown and pink from LSS, GP white c/s, and Provo Craft designer paper. Ink: black Stazon. Rexel Derwent watercoloring pencils and SU blender pen. Ribbon: Offray gingham pink. I received the Cheesecake Wish image at the SCS Pif forum from Mrslaird. I love this stamp so much that I'll have to buy it myself.

Pay It Forward now playing...
Ok people here we go...We're playing a round of Pay It Forward. I played this with Julie Koerber on her blog Out To Impress. Thanks Julie for the Pifs you sent me. What you have to do is leave me a comment telling me that you want to participate and the first three people will receive pifs of Riley stamps(Hanna Stamps) from me. Then you must post about this on your blog and send out three pifs from yourself to three other people. Sounds easy enough right! Ok lets go....

Three cards...
Ok, I been busy today making three cards for a stamp company design team contest. Two of them have the same stamp. One stamp has two fairies on a black-eyed susan and the other one is a little fisherboy with a fishing pole, a fishing rod, and a frog. All these stamps I bought from the company that I am making these cards for. I think they turned out pretty good. I think tomorrow I going to try some other stamps and a different color. Todays colors were mainly yellow and green. Maybe tomorrow it will be pink and brown. I'll post some of the cards at a later time when I'm done making all the them. Till tomorrow...

Hello Spring!
Hello, I think spring is finally here. We do still have a little snow in our yard. To many pine tree prevents the snow from melting to fast. Just last Friday we had a blizzard here and now I think it is time for Spring. The kids have been playing outside alot the last few days. Yesterday Dh took the kids to a park to fly his kite. It's big and looks like a ship. It was very windy yesterday and it did fly. Now today was very windy to, but when we went out to go fly the kite, the wind dyed down. We still went to the park to let the kids play. We had a cook out today. DH made marinated steaks, grilled onion and peppers, baby bella mushrooms, and asparagus on the gas grill. Awesome for me because I didn't have to cook, just had to clean up the vegetables. Today we took my son to school for his Kindergarten registration. He is such a people person. He had a ball playing with the other kids. Thats about it for today. Off to design some cards...

First of all I'd like to thank Sarah from MustangSarah's Card Creations for all of this blog candy that she gave away for her March 19 Birthday, that I won in her drawing. I just received it today in the mail, it came all the way from Canada.
Then I submitted two monkey cards to a friend from SCS Pif forum that was having a monkey card challenge, and guess what, I won. All the peoples names were put together in a drawing and my name was drawn. Woo hoo, this is my first ever "My Favorite Things" stamps, thanks Tami. You can see the two cards I made in my last few posts.

I've been tagged
I've been tagged, so I must say 7 things about myself.
1).I'm the middle child of 5, I have two older brothers, one younger brother, and one younger sister.
2).I graduated in the top 10% of of my high School class of over 350.
3).I have always had a passion for making crafty things, I started at a very young age of sewing my own barbie clothes and learning to crochet and knit. I took all the home economics class in high school.
4).I got married at a later age of 31. I lived with my mom and dad till that time with a savings account to buy my own house.
5).After high school I worked in a filter factory for 7 1/2 years and then a major horseradish factory for 9 years.
6).I'm now a stay at home mom that never seems to get all my house work done, need more stamping time...
7).I never knew that Stampin up, CTMH, TAC, and other companies existed until two years ago when a friend invited me to a Stampin Up party.
Ok thats all I'm telling you right now...I have to pick 7 people yet...I'm new at this and it seems most of the people I do know have been already tagged, so I'll have to think about this one...

Happy Birthday Granny Sue card!
Here is a card that I made yesterday for my MIL, Granny Sue. I used my new Cuttlebug to make the background. The House Mouse image I got from catcrazy at Splitcoaststampers from their pif forum. If you ever really wanted a stamp or stamp set and your thought that you would probably only use it once or twice, then this is a good place to go and more or less you are kind of swapping stamp images. What you do is look at the list of the person that is up, and the first person to pick or snag an image from the list, will get that image sent to them. Then of course, it is your turn to post your list. Whoever picks from your list will have that image sent to them by you. And then so on, and so on. Sometimes it gets moving fast. You can go there just to chit chat with the ladies. It's very addictive, you go and you will see. You will find yourself there everyday, lurking... Back to the card...House Mouse is called Spring Blossums. Paper is Gp white; black and purple: The paper Company; black stazon ink. I used a Close to my Heart ink pad: Majestic Mountain and a SU blender pen to color in the flowers. I used Rexel Derwent watercolor pencils and SU blender pen with all the other coloring in. I used the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug embossing folder in my Cuttlebug.
