Hello little chick!
Hello there! Easter is almost here. I made this Iris folding card the other day. The image is a stamp and you cut out the area of the eggshell. Iris folding is really easy with Iris folding stamps. This stamp can be found at Stamp N Plus Stamp N. You can click on Stamp N Plus Scrap N on my side bar, and it will take you to the home page. The paper I used here is a retired SU paper pack.

Hello... On February 20-21 on SCS, it was VSN weekend. VSN is Virtual Stamp Night. It was my first time playing VSN. I had a great time with it and I couldn't stop myself from playing more of the challenges. I did 13 of the challenges, but with one of them, one of my cards was picked for the honor list. That card is pictured here. All the stamps are from Unity Stamp Co. The ink is SU Soft Sky. The punched corners on the sentiment is from the Martha Stewart Scalloped Hearts punch.

In Style Sketch Challenge
Here are two cards I made for a sketch challenge over at Sandy's "Got Stamps" blog for In Style Stamps. I don't have any In Style Stamps yet so I used a stamp from the Unity Jan KOTM. The sentiment is a See-D's Cling stamp. The background is the Swiss Dot embossing folder.
This second card has the Feb KOTM stamp and SU Riveting.

Happy Valentine's day!
Happy Valentine's Day! Here is a great card for Valentine's Day. It is my first card that I Cuttlebugged part of the paper and then I added a line with my Scor-pal. The first time I saw this technique was from my blogger friend Deena at A Necessary Creativity. I see alot of these cards nowdays, but I'm giving the credit to my friend Deena for this one. The image and sentiment is STAMP N PLUS SCRAP N. The image was colored in with Bics mark-it markers.

HHH Friday!
Hello and welcome to another HHH Friday. For thoughs of you that don't know what HHH is, it's Hip Hop Hangover. Every Thursday on Splitcoast Stampers, The Unity Stamp Company has a party in the Splitcoast Stampers(SCS) forum. Every week Unity gives away over $300.00 worth of prizes. Prizes are from challenges and fun games. Each Thursday I head over there for the fun and games. The fun starts at The Unity Stamp Company blog at 10:00 a.m central time, with the design team blog hop. The SCS forum starts at 11:00 a.m. central time and last till mid-night. Today if you go to the Unity Stamp Company Blog, you will find a list of participating individuals showing their Unity goodies. Here is my card for yesterdays Unity Take Flight Challenge. I used the September KOTM for all the stamping with Black Memento ink. I cuttlebugged the background with the spots and dots embossing folder. The design paper is Memory box and the pink paper is SU Pretty In Pink with SU Pretty In Pink ribbon. I colored the images in with Prismacolor Markers.

Fluffles Valentine!
Hello ! It's that time of year again...Valentines Day...It's fast approaching. I made up this card with the Stampendous Fluffles Wuv. I cuttlebugged the background with the heart blocks folder and I cut out the bigger hearts with Nestabilities(plain and scalloped). The smaller hearts are from the Martha Stewart heart scallop punch. The image and sentiment come from the clear Stampendous Fluffles Wuv set. The image is colored in with Prismacolor pencils and a blender pen. The quiver and bow are colored in with Pink Shimmerz. Shimmerz is a great new product. It is sorta like a paint. You have to shake up the container because they tend to settle to the bottom. If you click on the card it will make the picture bigger and you will get a better look at the shimmerz. Thanks for looking and have a nice day! :)

Michaels..The NEW LOOK...
On February 1, 2009 me and my daughter went on an adventure to a "NEW" Michaels store. We had a local Michaels but it was small and last summer Michaels started building a new bigger store just down the street from the old one. This Michaels store is located in Eau Claire Wisconsin. I thought it would be cool to be there on opening day, so we arrived at the store around 9:30 a.m. I was also trying to make sure I was one of the first into store when it opened. Reason for being first, you ask? Well I've been stalking the new Martha Stewart Valentines Day border edge punches. The old store never got any of the Valentine punches in and all the new merchandise was being shipped to the new store, so I thought there might be a chance that the punches might be at the new store. The store opened at 10:00 a.m. Me and my daughter hopped in line at 5 minutes before opening, with about 5 people behind us. We were the first in line and the first customers into the store. I told my eight year old daughter what to look for and we went our separate ways. I found the Valentines Day merchandise but no punches to be seen there. Then I asked a store worker where the Martha Stewart punches were and asked if they had any of the Valentine punches. She lead me to an end cap with some Valentines Day things and the Martha Stewart border punches. They had two of one and three of the other one. I put one of each in my cart. I looked over the other Martha Stewart Valentines punches and put a scalloped heart punch in my cart. I also have the Heart plain and Scalloped Nestabilites but I thought the scalloped heart one was cute.
Now for the store review... It was alot bigger than the old one, maybe a little more spread out. The old store you could not get two shopping carts down an aisle, this one you could. The bead department was huge, it had a whole corner to its self. There were alot of $1.00 items, maybe three times more than the old one. There even was a whole row with $1 to $5 items. There was more rubber and clear stamps, of course I was expecting alot more of them. There was more ink pads in stock than the old store, of course I was expecting more of them too. The Cuttlebug and Sizzix items were in my opinion were less. I did see the new slice, they had two of them, zero of them when I left. I was also expecting more design paper like Basic Grey. They did have more but not really my style. I was looking for Basic Grey 6x6 pad but there were none, although they did have 3 kinds of the 12x12 packs. The art row had nearly the same amount of things. They had alot of empty spots where the Prisma Color Marker singles would be. They did have a new area in the middle of the store where the were a total of 6 bar stools for working on things. I didn't get a chance to check out the flower or yarn areas since we were already there an hour. The cashiers were all bunched up in two rows in the front, way different than before.
So my review for the store would be: I expected alot more. For somethings there were more things and for some it was less.

Thanks for stopping in, see you again soon. :)

Bear Hugs!
Hello There! Here are a few cards I made with the Iris Bear Holding Heart stamp from STAMP N PLUS SCRAP N. The stamp can be found here... http://www.stampaffair.com/catalog/irisfolding/irisfoldingnewpg15.shtml
The bears were colored in with Copics and Bics Mark-it Markers. One stamp can create many different looks! Valentines Day will be here before we know it but these cards are headed on over to my LSS to be put on display.
Thanks for looking and have a nice Weekend! I know I will because my DH's work(hospital) is having their Company's Christmas Party this weekend, what a big thing that is! See you next time!

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas to one and to all! Sorry about not posting much lately, just been to busy with cleaning house and preparing for the Christmas party for my side. DH's side had their party last Saturday. We had a great time with lots of yummy food and lots of awesome presents. The kids already have their gifts from Santa opened this morning. We as the family got the Wii game system and the Wii Fit board plus a few more games. We'll probably be hooking up the Wii system in a few days. DH had to work today from 9 am to 5:30 so our party won't start till 6:00 pm. DH also has to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday. DH will be off on Monday so we will probably be going to a movie and a dinner. I'm making a Hillshire whole ham today. I'm slicing it up and layering it with pineapple and brown sugar and putting it in 2 crockpots, my mom made it this way for Thanksgiving and it was yummy. I have to get busy, so have a great day. See you again soon. :)

BLOG CANDY!...and my secret is released...
Hello and welcome old friends and new friends and anyone in between... The secret is...
I have been asked by the owner LuAnn of "Stamp N Plus Scrap N" to be on her Design Team. I of course said that I would be honored to be on her team. LuAnn owns a local stamping scraping store in my home town area and she makes high quality red rubber stamps. All the stamps come mounted on wood and most are available as unmounted. The card that a made here is stamped with a stamp from the "Stamp N Plus Scrap N" Company and it is called Santa with Candycane. It's a really fun and easy image to color. The background paper here is Memory Box DP. Now unto the BLOG CANDY... In honor of being on a design team, I am giving out one of these unmounted red rubber stamps as blog candy. I somehow ended up owning two of these Santa with Candycane unmounted red rubber stamps...I guess I liked it so much and bought two at different times. So you ask... What do I have to do to win this stamp? Just leave me a comment here and I will put all the names in a hat and have my kiddos pick one on Sunday night, December 7. I'm leaving this candy open for USA and Canada people. I'll have the winner posted on Monday evening. You must come back to see if you won so I can send it out to you...
