HHR: Hering Hot Rod

Hello! Our family has been looking all summer for a car. Actually, I have been looking for more than three years... where'd the time go? We started looking at used cars. My one true love of a car was the Pt Crusier, after trying it out and reading reviews, I passed to the next bigger thing. I tried out a HHR Chevy, which I liked a lot too. After trying out a few different cars this past week, I found the one I was looking for.

It's a new 2009 Chevrolet HHR. The kids were super excited to finally have mom get her car! I think the wait was well worth it! Talk about the lastest technology, this car has most everything. I told my kids we could call it the Hering Hot Rod or the Hip Hop Rider, they like Hering Hot Rod. My daughter told me that the car is a she!

Yesterday we went out with our new car! We had to go to school to meet the teachers, then we headed to Eau Claire to the Children's Museum. The kids love the Children's Museum. It is like a little town with play stores and lots of things to do.
At the Children's Museum, they even have an area downstairs with a waterworld that kids can play with. My son loves that alot!
Here are my kids this morning waiting for the bus! It sure is quiet here now... oh did you hear the dust move? LOL! I have a lot of things planned to do, like cleaning the deck and maybe staining it tomorrow. The new car is sitting in the garage, I'm not planning on any HHR adventures today.
Thanks for visiting! See you later.... Have a great day!!!

Last day of vacation!

Today was the last day of summer vacation! Me and the kids had to go to school today to meet the teachers and do all the paperwork. After that we went to the Children's Museum to play for about 2 hours. The kids love the Eau Claire Children's Museum. After that we went shopping at Menards to pick up a few things. Tomorrow will be very different around here since I'm a stay-at-home-mom. My daughter already asked me today that if I was gonna start going through stuff to get rid of so she can have her own room. Well probably not gonna happen tomorrow, since I have a ton of things to do like cleaning the deck and re-staining it.

I got something kinda special yesterday... I might post it later this week! It's been something I wanted for aloooooooooooong time, LOL. See yah later... :) Kathy~

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my mom's Birthday. Were having a party tonight for her with all her kids being there. I made this card awhile ago. It's made with Unity Stamps and Stampin Up products. I haven't made many crafty things lately other than my first scrapbook page of the kids at Christmas. The kids have 7 full days left of summer vacation, so we have been trying to spend as much time together before school starts. We have all their school goodies all gathered up and ready. My computer doesn't have the malware bug any more but it still is slow since it's an old 2004 desktop. Recently after getting my computer back and being online, I couldn't even get Internet Explorer to open so I went to windows update and it opened a window online....yes!!! I then downloaded Mozilla Firefox and I have been having faster loadings. Firefox is a lot different than IE but I'm kinda liking it, since it is saving me a lot of time compared to what I'm used to.
Thanks for stopping by and have a super great day!

Hello!

Hello! Just letting you know that my computer is sick... Got some kinda bug that is putting x-rated pictures in ads at places I visit. We have Norton360 updated and it still lets bugs in. The computer is running super slow so no new pictures here. Last week was VBS and I was the craft teacher. VBS went great and the kids loved all the projects, maybe I can post the projects at a later time. My DH is on vacation this week so maybe will take the computer in to be wiped out! See you again soon... I'm hoping.... ~Kathy~

I colored the image in with SU watercolor pencils. As for yesterday, we watched fireworks and the kids had the most awesome time ever! Did you notice I posted three days in a row! Happy Birthday Kurt!

Today is my nephew Kurt's 7th Birthday Party. His family is having the party at our family's cabin on the lake. The party food is to include Walleye from Canada (which they caught while in Canada a few weeks ago) and deep fried wild turkey (which my brother shot with the bow and arrrow this past turkey season), and all the birthday trimmings! Here is the card I made for my nephew Kurt. He loves to fish, so I thought he would like this card! The fish stamp and fishbowl stamps are from Rubbernecker Stamps. The sentiments is from Stampendous Changito Notes. Should be a fun party. Tonight is fireworks, not sure if we are going.
Have a safe and have 4th!!!! I might be back with another card tomorrow, my sister is having her Birthday party... more birthday fun and food...

Chalk-Ah-Lot...

Hello and Good day to you! It's one day away from the 4th of July. Here is a card I made for a girl at church that recently got confirmed. The cross stamp is Verve. I recently bought some Verve and I really like them. I used Chalk-Ah-Lot powder chalk to color in the background, you can find Chalk-Ah-Lot powder chalk if you go to Stamp N Plus Scrap N, which you can find on my side bar.I have a birthday party for a nephew to go to tomorrow night. I haven't made him a card yet, might be one in my stash. Last week we put up our swimming pool and the kids haven't got a chance to take a dip in it yet because it has been too cold here. Last week it was in the 90's and this week it has been in the 60-70's. Today is suppose to hit 80 and warming up next week into the high 80's, were gonna roast again! So I think they will be in the pool today.

Have a wonderful 4th of July!!!

Fluffles Valentine!

Hello ! It's that time of year again...Valentines Day...It's fast approaching. I made up this card with the Stampendous Fluffles Wuv. I cuttlebugged the background with the heart blocks folder and I cut out the bigger hearts with Nestabilities(plain and scalloped). The smaller hearts are from the Martha Stewart heart scallop punch. The image and sentiment come from the clear Stampendous Fluffles Wuv set. The image is colored in with Prismacolor pencils and a blender pen. The quiver and bow are colored in with Pink Shimmerz. Shimmerz is a great new product. It is sorta like a paint. You have to shake up the container because they tend to settle to the bottom. If you click on the card it will make the picture bigger and you will get a better look at the shimmerz. Thanks for looking and have a nice day! :)
