You need primas?...Make some...

Do you have a zillion Prima flowers? Like most of us you probably do but you usually run out of those favorite colors first. Then you are left with a zillion flowers but you don't have any of those favorite colors hanging around anymore. Well, I found a site that shows you how to make your own Prima flowers. It looks really fun! I can't wait to try it myself! So, grab some colored cardstock, some flower punches, an embossing tool, and your scissors! Then visit this link, and have fun! Now you will have flowers in any color you want. I also have read that some people crumple up their paper, some wet it, some use mulberry paper, some highlight with markers, etc. So play around with it to get the look you want. Have a great day!~Kathy~

Happy Birthday Matt!

It's that day again...It's my DH's Birthday. It's also his day off from work and guess what he gets to do...he has a dental cleaning appointment. Thats not so bad...he has never had a real cavity in his life...just a small spot that had to be blasted off. Anyway it's his day and he gets to pick what he wants to do. I know he is going to want to go to a Chinese buffet because that is his favorite. We used to go to a Chinese buffet about once a week but now I'm burned out on Chinese. I guess I can make an exception today. Then we might go to Sams Club and pick up a cake and share it with some of the family. It's going to be hotter today...probably about 87 and hotter Tuesday and Wednesday with the humidy climing. Well anyway this is the card I made last night for my DH...It fit him well because he does all the grilling here and love it. He has a shirt that say"Grill Sergeant"on it so it fits him well.

Recipe: Stamps :Bella Stamping- Grillafella; Ink: Black; Paper: blue, green unknown, and GP white; Extras: Cuttlebug, Rectangle Nestabilities, distressed stripes folder,Prismacolor markers, Sukura Gelly Roll pen, and sentiment computer generated.

Thanks for looking and have a nice day!!!

What kind of fruit are you???

I took a quiz and this is what I found out...

You Are a Banana

You are mellow, easy going, and a total softie on the inside.

People find it really easy to get along with you. You suit most tastes.

And while you're very sweet, you're not boring or ordinary.

You have an attraction to the exotic, and you could show up anywhere... doing almost anything!

You are spirited, energetic, and a total kick to be around.

You're also quite funny. Your sense of humor is on the goofy side, and it fits you well.

Try it out for yourself...Have a nice day...~Kathy~

Vacation pictures!

Here are a few of our pictures from our last vacation trip to the Mall Of America in Minnesota. We stayed at the Fairfield Inn. The Fairfield is a very nice and clean place to stay. Nice but small pool with two hot tubs and excellent breakfast. First day was shopping and visiting the Underworld Adventures. Underwater Adventures is a must visit if you go there. There is alot of things to see there. They have live sting rays in a pool that you can touch. They have removed the barbs from the string rays so they are safe. There are alot of nice picture taking spots. You can see one picture here of me in a treasure chest in a play area that I had to crawl into. The second day we bought wristbands for the Nick Universe Park. The kids loved the rides. My DH loves the water log ride. The kids went on the water log ride a few years back, but didn't know what to expect, and now they won't go on it again...Of course they are 7 and 5 years old, when they are 10 or so they will probably go on it non stop. We did also visit the local pool a few days after we got back. Also on vacation we stayed at my parents cabin on a lake. The kids love it there. Well that's it for now...Thanks for coming back...see you soon...Have a nice day. ~Kathy~

A Birthday card for a nephew!

Today is my nephew's 6th Birthday. Happy Birthday Kurt! We had a big celebration for him the other day, see Sunday post. We're on our way to The Mall of America, yep again... second trip there in less than a month. My Dh loves that Mall. I asked the kids if they wanted to go on the rides there but my DD says no. They want to got to the Water Underworld instead. Were staying over night at a really nice place across the street. Last year we stayed at the Days in across the street, and I will not go there again. The beds were really dirty on the bottom edge, yucky. I'd rather pay another $50.00 to stay in a nice place. I'l post the recipe for this card at a later time. We'll be on our way shortly. Thanks for visiting and see you again soon....Have a nice Day...~Kathy~

A card for a Challenge at Hanna Stamps on SCS

Here is one of my cards I made for the Hanna Stamps Challenge at SCS. Last week they had a release party going on, which I missed since I was out of town with no internet. I submitted it yesterday and I found out today that I won...'Doing the Happy Dance here'. Anyway, all the submitted summer/outdoor cards were put into a drawing and I just happened to win. I won The Lazy Day stamp set. It's my first official Hanna girl stamp set. I have like 24 of the Riley Hanna Stamps though. You can go and check out my card for the details at SCS if needed. Thanks for looking and I'll see you soon... ~Kathy~
