A few Iris folding Holiday Cards.

Hello everyone!

Here are a couple of Holiday cards I made with a Iris Folding stamp from Stamp Affair...Stamp N Plus Scrap N: Snowman stamp. It's a very fun project and not very hard to do at all. You stamp out the image, the image has the iris folding on it already and then you cut out the iris folding section with a cutting tool. Tape it to the image and start layering the pieces of paper on...The sentiment is from Hanna Stamps.

Thanks for stopping by...

Halloween is almost here!

Hello everyone!

Sorry I've been MIA for awhile but I have had alot of issues like a grandma funeral and some teeth problems...Anyways, Halloween is fast approaching and will be here soon. Here is a card my 7 year old daughter made with a stamp I won as blog candy. She is giving this to her sub teacher for Halloween. Her permanent 2nd grade teacher has been on maternity leave all of this school year and is coming back on Halloween. She also made a sucker with a tissue over it and it looks like a ghost...She made this card all by herself with her own supplies. The background is colored in with black chalk. Thanks for looking and have a nice day....~Kathy~...

Hello!

Hello everyone...I hope you had a great weekend. Yesterday was my moms birthday and it was a total surprise. Yesterday I found a coupon for Michaels. It's for 40% off the regular price of your whole purchase. It was a mistake by the company because it was to say 20% off the whole regular purchase. Michaels changed it after the fact that lots of people had already gotten it. Here is where to find the coupon... http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c340/dottecom/Forum%20Chatter/330929741.jpg So they have to honor it...Make sure though if you use this coupon, give it to them first because they manually ring up every item or it will only take off 40% off one item. Another beautiful day here again. I hope you have a nice day.

Adding a signature line...

Hello. I don't know if you have this problem....but everytime I add my signature at the bottom of my post, I have to go and look it up and copy it and paste it everytime. Well I got tired of doing that, so I stopped placing it there and just typed it in. Today I found out how to automatically add it in everytime. I made up my signature at http://www.livesignature.com/. When I log into blogger, I see these options: new post, edit posts, settings, layout, view blog. If you are already logged in but viewing your blog, click customize in the upper right hand corner. Then when I click on settings, the new screen has three big tabs with a bunch of smaller tabs listed underneath going across the screen. Formatting is the 3rd one from the left. So when I start a new post, the signature is right there at the beginning, and I just click in front of it and it follows along as I type. I hope this helps. It sure is alot easier and saves alot of times.
Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!!!

You need primas?...Make some...

Do you have a zillion Prima flowers? Like most of us you probably do but you usually run out of those favorite colors first. Then you are left with a zillion flowers but you don't have any of those favorite colors hanging around anymore. Well, I found a site that shows you how to make your own Prima flowers. It looks really fun! I can't wait to try it myself! So, grab some colored cardstock, some flower punches, an embossing tool, and your scissors! Then visit this link, and have fun! Now you will have flowers in any color you want. I also have read that some people crumple up their paper, some wet it, some use mulberry paper, some highlight with markers, etc. So play around with it to get the look you want. Have a great day!~Kathy~

Happy Birthday Matt!

It's that day again...It's my DH's Birthday. It's also his day off from work and guess what he gets to do...he has a dental cleaning appointment. Thats not so bad...he has never had a real cavity in his life...just a small spot that had to be blasted off. Anyway it's his day and he gets to pick what he wants to do. I know he is going to want to go to a Chinese buffet because that is his favorite. We used to go to a Chinese buffet about once a week but now I'm burned out on Chinese. I guess I can make an exception today. Then we might go to Sams Club and pick up a cake and share it with some of the family. It's going to be hotter today...probably about 87 and hotter Tuesday and Wednesday with the humidy climing. Well anyway this is the card I made last night for my DH...It fit him well because he does all the grilling here and love it. He has a shirt that say"Grill Sergeant"on it so it fits him well.

Recipe: Stamps :Bella Stamping- Grillafella; Ink: Black; Paper: blue, green unknown, and GP white; Extras: Cuttlebug, Rectangle Nestabilities, distressed stripes folder,Prismacolor markers, Sukura Gelly Roll pen, and sentiment computer generated.

Thanks for looking and have a nice day!!!

What kind of fruit are you???

I took a quiz and this is what I found out...

You Are a Banana

You are mellow, easy going, and a total softie on the inside.

People find it really easy to get along with you. You suit most tastes.

And while you're very sweet, you're not boring or ordinary.

You have an attraction to the exotic, and you could show up anywhere... doing almost anything!

You are spirited, energetic, and a total kick to be around.

You're also quite funny. Your sense of humor is on the goofy side, and it fits you well.

Try it out for yourself...Have a nice day...~Kathy~

Vacation pictures!

Here are a few of our pictures from our last vacation trip to the Mall Of America in Minnesota. We stayed at the Fairfield Inn. The Fairfield is a very nice and clean place to stay. Nice but small pool with two hot tubs and excellent breakfast. First day was shopping and visiting the Underworld Adventures. Underwater Adventures is a must visit if you go there. There is alot of things to see there. They have live sting rays in a pool that you can touch. They have removed the barbs from the string rays so they are safe. There are alot of nice picture taking spots. You can see one picture here of me in a treasure chest in a play area that I had to crawl into. The second day we bought wristbands for the Nick Universe Park. The kids loved the rides. My DH loves the water log ride. The kids went on the water log ride a few years back, but didn't know what to expect, and now they won't go on it again...Of course they are 7 and 5 years old, when they are 10 or so they will probably go on it non stop. We did also visit the local pool a few days after we got back. Also on vacation we stayed at my parents cabin on a lake. The kids love it there. Well that's it for now...Thanks for coming back...see you soon...Have a nice day. ~Kathy~

A Birthday card for a nephew!

Today is my nephew's 6th Birthday. Happy Birthday Kurt! We had a big celebration for him the other day, see Sunday post. We're on our way to The Mall of America, yep again... second trip there in less than a month. My Dh loves that Mall. I asked the kids if they wanted to go on the rides there but my DD says no. They want to got to the Water Underworld instead. Were staying over night at a really nice place across the street. Last year we stayed at the Days in across the street, and I will not go there again. The beds were really dirty on the bottom edge, yucky. I'd rather pay another $50.00 to stay in a nice place. I'l post the recipe for this card at a later time. We'll be on our way shortly. Thanks for visiting and see you again soon....Have a nice Day...~Kathy~

Father's Day Card.

Today is Saturday and it was a day of cleaning the house. Hey I even got DH in on the cleaning, lol. We had bible study at our house tonight and since my Dh had all of that time off awhile back and the kids are out of school, the house was turning into a real mess. I guess it has been worse, the kids just have to many toys and no where to put them. My Dh has this weekend off and always has Mondays off and then took Tuesday and Wednesday off. Tuesday is his Company's picnic and he took Wednesday off in case it rains on Tuesday. Well today he tells me he also has Thursday and Friday off and then goes back on the weekend. I say oh, you mean I'm stuck with you for a week, lol, I was kidding him...Well at least the house is clean today because we probably will be in and out all week.
Here is the card I made all the Fathers.

Hello Summer!

I've been MIA lately. Yes vacation is over but the kids are out of school so I have alot less time to spend in the internet world. I will have some pictures and cards to share coming up. I'm just letting you know I'm still here and to keep coming back, thanks...

Second Posting today...

We started out the kids first day off by visiting the local pool. My daughter is like a fish in the water, takes after her dad. My son is a little more conservative like me. Here you can see my DH jumping from the highest diving board and a picture with DH and my son and daughter. We were there for four hours, it was kinda cool, 70 degrees, partly cloudy. We then went out to eat at a nice Chinese Restaurant. When we got home, me and DH were feeling kind of burnt. The kids just got a nice tan. Were were so burnt that we had a hard time laying in bed. We had to stay home the next day because we were so sore. The next day we went to The Mall Of America in MN. We first went to McDonalds for Breakfast. I took about 1 1/2 hours to get to the Mall. We spent alot of time walking. I visited my two favorite stores, The Disney Store and Archivers.
The kids favorite store is Lego Land. I bought a Score-Pal at Archivers and a few stamps, while I let my daughter pick a few stamps out too. For lunch the kids picked McDonalds, while we picked a Chinese Place. Next time maybe in July, we might go back and stay overnight across the street and buy tickets to the Nick Universe. They are in the process of remodeling right now. Later that night we decided to take the kids to our hometown McDonalds for Supper. They had a hamburger and apple dippers so that isn't all that bad. The happy meal toy was from the Kung Fu Panda Movie, which we went to the week before on opening day and the first showing. I also got a happy meal so they could get extra toys since they loved the movie. The fun was almost over on Friday because we had company over so we had to clean house, but me and my friend went to a Friday The 13 th Stamp Party at a LSS. It was fun day too. Saturday my DH had to go back to work. Make sure you come back soon because I have a Riley Father's Day card to show you. See you then...
